Terms of Service

Last updated: September 30, 2026

These terms apply when you purchase services from Patel Web, operated by Patel, a sole proprietor in Val Caron, Ontario, Canada. Your accepted written quote sets out the specific work. If a quote expressly changes a term below, that agreed change applies to your project.

1. Services and agreement

Patel Web provides website design and development, website repairs, Google Business Profile setup, online payment or booking integration, and hosting and care plans. We agree on your scope, price, and expected schedule in writing before work begins. Sending an enquiry does not commit you to a purchase.

2. Prices and payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars. HST is added where applicable and shown before payment. Website projects require a 50% deposit to start, with the remaining balance due before launch or transfer of the finished files. Fix-up work is quoted after reviewing your existing site. Approved additional work is billed at $60 CAD per hour, plus applicable tax, unless we agree on a separate fixed price.

Payments are processed by Stripe through secure payment links when available. Card details are not collected on this website. Your statement descriptor is PATEL WEB DEV. You receive the applicable payment amount and scope before being asked to pay.

3. What you provide

You provide accurate business information, text, photos, your logo if you have one, and the access needed for your domain, website, and relevant accounts. You confirm you have permission to use all material you supply. Please share account access securely, rather than sending passwords through the contact form. You are responsible for reviewing and approving your business claims, prices, and website content.

4. Reviews and changes

Starter and Business website packages include two revision rounds. Growth includes three. A round is one consolidated set of feedback on the agreed design and content. New pages, new features, or substantial changes outside the agreed scope are extra. I’ll explain the cost and get your agreement before doing additional work.

5. Timelines and launch

Typical timelines are estimates, beginning after the deposit, content, and necessary access arrive. Delayed content, reviews, or third-party approvals can move the launch date. We’ll agree on a revised schedule if needed. No particular Google ranking, number of leads, or sales result is guaranteed. Google controls Business Profile eligibility and verification.

6. Ownership and third-party licences

After full payment, ownership of the custom website files and content created for your project transfers to you. Your own supplied content remains yours. Third-party fonts, libraries, plugins, booking tools, and other licensed software retain their original ownership and licence conditions. Your domain should be registered in your own account.

Patel Web may show the publicly launched work in its portfolio, without private account details or confidential information. You can opt out in writing before launch.

7. Hosting and care plans

Care plans are billed monthly in advance. Basic Care includes hosting, SSL, daily backups, security updates, and uptime monitoring. Plus Care also includes up to one hour of edits per month and a monthly performance check. Unused edit time does not carry forward. Larger changes are quoted separately.

You may cancel by emailing hello@patelweb.ca with at least 30 days’ notice. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period after the notice period. Billing may continue for a period beginning during that notice period. No partial-month refunds apply. I’ll confirm the final billing date and help arrange a transfer of your files. Arrange replacement hosting before the plan ends to keep your site online.

8. Third-party costs and availability

Domain registration, paid plugins, premium media, booking subscriptions, and other third-party costs are your responsibility unless expressly included in your quote. I’ll identify expected costs before you approve them. Third-party services can change their pricing, availability, or features. Hosting, payment, and search services may occasionally be unavailable.

9. Cancellation and refunds

The Refund & Cancellation Policy explains deposit refunds, project cancellations, and care-plan cancellation. Please contact me promptly if a project or payment does not match what we agreed.

10. Responsibility and limits

Patel Web will use reasonable care and skill to deliver the agreed services. You are responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of your business content and for safeguarding your account access. To the extent permitted by law, Patel Web is not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or business interruption. Liability arising from a service is limited to the fees you paid for the service giving rise to the claim. These limits do not exclude rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

11. Privacy

Your information is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Only provide personal information needed for the project.

12. Governing law and questions

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Where permitted by law, disputes are handled by the courts of Ontario. We’ll first try to resolve concerns directly and reasonably. Updated terms apply to new purchases; an existing accepted project keeps its agreed terms unless we both agree otherwise.
