Privacy Policy

Patel Web, operated by Patel, a sole proprietor in Val Caron, Ontario, is responsible for the personal information it handles. This policy describes our practices using the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What information is collected

When you contact me, I receive the details you choose to provide, such as your name, business name, email, phone number, website address, and message. Project work may require relevant content and limited access to your website or domain accounts. Please do not send payment card numbers, government identification, or other sensitive information through an enquiry.

When you pay through Stripe, Stripe processes your payment information. Patel Web receives information needed to identify and manage the purchase, such as your name, business name, contact details, amount, and payment status. Patel Web never sees or stores your full card number or card security code.

Why information is used

Your information is used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, deliver and support services, manage billing, and keep records required by law. I do not sell personal information or use enquiry details for unrelated marketing. If a new purpose requires consent, I’ll ask first.

Consent and your choices

Sending an enquiry allows me to use the details to respond. Buying services allows use of information reasonably needed to deliver them. You may withdraw consent for optional uses by contacting me. Some information is necessary to complete your requested service, and legal recordkeeping obligations may continue after consent is withdrawn.

Service providers

• Cloudflare hosts and protects the website and may process technical connection information, such as IP addresses, for delivery and security.
• Formspree processes contact-form submissions when the website’s contact form is enabled. When you contact me by email instead, your information is handled by the email providers involved.
• Stripe securely processes payments when payment links are enabled.

These providers may process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities. Information is shared only as needed for the stated purposes, or where required by law.

Analytics and cookies

Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics is currently disabled on this website. If enabled later, it measures aggregate website use without analytics cookies. Patel Web does not use advertising cookies or sell browsing data. Cloudflare’s hosting and security features may process technical data to deliver and protect the site.

External services you visit, such as Stripe checkout, have their own privacy and cookie policies.

Retention and safeguards

I keep enquiry and project information only as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide services, resolve issues, and meet legal recordkeeping requirements. Information no longer needed is deleted or securely disposed of. I use reasonable safeguards, restrict access, and share only what is needed. No transmission or storage method is completely risk-free.

Access, correction, deletion, and concerns

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing hello@patelweb.ca. I may need to verify your identity in a proportionate way. I’ll normally respond to access requests within 30 days, subject to lawful exceptions or extensions. Some records must be retained for legal reasons; I’ll explain any limits on a deletion request.

This page’s date reflects the latest update. Material changes to how existing personal information is used will be explained, and consent obtained where required.
